Ahh...New England...
Flew into Boston today amidst the crazy sox fans and hustle/bustle of the NE. Drove through lots of jelly and fudge producing vacation towns and riverside industrial wastelands to arrive at my golfing/archery/falconing(that's right...fuckin falcon taming) retreat in the Green Mountains...This place is kind of lame for me, but if i were a trendy chick my age I'd feel better about it..The streets are lined with candle companies, shoe companies, and designer clothing stores...but when I ask young people what there is to do on this friday, they say "nothing"....it must suck to live/work here serving rich white people from all over the northeast. I spent most of the car ride thinking about last year's maine trip, which was freeing.....This is almost too ritzy to be fun. Being pampered by your dad and people sucking up to him kind of makes the experience less real.
