oops and also a Brief History of Everything which is becoming a royal pain to wade through. I'm about to just tell Keith that I don't get it. I think that this guy, this Ken Wilbur, he could probably tell me everything I need to know about the history of man's evolution in less than 50 pages, but he likes to cut down those trees and see his writing splashed all over everything. Condense, man! And I re-read the Island of Dr. Moreau, and High-Rise (Ballard), which is awesome. For yesterday my little brother bought me this book called, well, I can't remember the title but I remember the author, Dean Koontz, who I've never bothered about, but I'm going to give this book a try. I burst out laughing when I saw the main character's name- Jimmy Tock. A horrible name, not just in a phonetic sense, but... having just read Vox I was reminded of the name that the male character (whose name is Jim!!) came up with as an alternative to... ass. He didn't like the word "ass" and thought that a "tock" was a much better-sounding word for this body part. So I thought of this.
