Phoning it in
It's been so long since I've posted, I honestly don't know where or how to begin. I suppose I should explain where and how I've been all this time, but really it's too much. So I will just start with where I am now, and let the past come as it may.
I am still madly in love with my game. I've met some really cool people there, and I don't see myself getting bored with it anytime soon.
I was recently laid off. My company cut over 90 positions at my site, and are cutting more globally. The new president has his head up his ass and no real concept of his customer base. Not my issue any more. I'm keeping my head down, collecting my severence and moving on. My last day is slated to be Sept 7th, may be sooner.
I was supposed to go to AX this weekend, but the layoff is interfereing with that. I was supposed to go to Gencon in August, thats up in the air.
At this very moment, I'm at work, my head is killing me, and it's all I can do to convince myself to stay.
Also, I know I was supposed to have a HP/Yaoi gathering, as it turns out, I got sick for a month in Feb/March, in April I went to visit KY for my birthday, and since then I've just been keeping my head above water. I'll get around to it. After all, we have book 7 to look forward to.
So yeah, been a little depressed for a year.
