Happiness is your the Rodney McKay and John Sheppard magnets on your drawer at work. *happy sigh* It's also reading your zine in between talking to stupid people on the phone.
I need to start really posting here again, but my life is happily consumed by City of Villains. I mean I am very happy with my addiction. I have become a badge h0r. I spend more time these days trying to earn badges to unlock extra super powers than I do trying to level. Mark hasn't started looking in to 12 step programs, or performing an intervention yet, but I'm pretty sure it isn't far off.
I've started thinking about working on my Xmas cards, which is to say I've brought cards to work to fill out. They'er sitting on my desk, and I am writting down the names of people I want to send one to. There are a LOT of names on that list, and it's not even done. I have a big family, and a lot of friends. I am fortunate in that respect.
Something I haven't really mentioned..to anyone except Mark. My mother called me a month or two ago, and said that they found a lump, it was potentially cancer. She said they wanted to do a biopsy and see what it was. She had it the day before yesterday. My dad said it went very well, that the doctor was very happy with the way it went, he believes he got all of it. It was a lump, between the size of a nickle and a quarter, and yes, cancerous. He said her lymph nodes looked clear, but they are doing additional tests to make sure it hadn't spread and just wasn't apparent.
And now for the public service anouncement portion of the post, it is November 7th, please excerise you're right as a free American and vote. One person can't make a difference if they don't even show up. Your vote added to millions of others CAN make a difference. No, it's not a presidental election, but state and local elections have a bigger impact on your life than you realize. You have a say, let your voice be heard! Don't let your choice be taken away. Don't let the goverment take advantage of your indifference, and if given a chance, they will. As Ben Franklin said, "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security." And, I'm making Mark vote.
