What do you mean it's Monday?

Well, Monday for me.  My work week starts on Sunday as I have Friday and Saturday nights off.  It was a busy weekend though.  Friday morning 3 of my fellow co-workers and exercise buddies decided to blow off the workout and go to breakfast.  I made a promise to myself that I would make up the workout later in the day.

We headed to Lyons, and when we walked in, I recognized 2 of the patrons as servers at Dennys, and they are always there when I go in for salads.  The one /always/ takes care of me giving me free drinks, or extra ranch.  My co-workers always laugh because I refer to them as my little gay boys.  They were leaving, but the stopped and said hello to us.  After the left we were the only ones in the place.  We were seated and ordered and we started talking about everything.  Work, politics, our pets, TV shows we watch,  I had a lot of fun and enjoyed myself very much.  We were there about 2 hours.  I drove home and was surprised to find Mark still there.  He decided to call in sick, as he has over 100 sick hours and hardly ever calls in.  I told him to wake me when he gets up, because I didn't want to sleep the day away.

Thanks to Dexter and Sinister, I had a less than restfull 3 hours sleep, but I did get up at 10:30 when Mark woke me.  We agreed we would drive down to Whole Foods and get some food, and I wanted to stop off in Burlingame at the Sephora store.  I got 2 eye shadows, a concealer, and a lipstick.  *loves*

At Whole Food we spent about 200, but we hadn't been shopping in a while, so that was to be expected.  We bought fish, shrimp, fresh green beans, and some squash and zucchini for dinner.  I was good and didn't buy any cheese.  Oh brie, how I miss you.  We also picked up some turkey panini sandwiches for a late lunch, and drove home.  As we were trying to pull in on to our street, the school on the corner was letting out and turning left was gonna be a pain so we decided to drive down to Safeway forthe few things we needed and come home the back way avoiding the traffic.

When we got home we watched Survivor and had lunch.  After lunch we ran out to Petsmart for cat food, and to Barnes and Noble for a xmas gift for a friend and some Jane Austin books for me. Mark had homework and I wanted to workout with DDR, so we went home.  I was about to start my workout, but Troy, the loan officer/real estate agent called, and he just never shuts up.  I did end up getting to work out.  In between sets I would tidy the kitchen, and start fixing dinner so that when Mark was finished with homework we could cook and watch CSI and Numb3rs.

Saturday was Fogfest, and Mark and I decided to go.  We didn't think we were going to find parking without walking forever, but I decided to drive further down, and was able to find parking just outside the back entrance to the fair.  We spent about 2 hours walking around and would have spent more, but Mark had to hook up with friends for D&D at 1, so we went home.  I called and made an appointment for a fill and pedicure for later that afternoon and laid down for a short nap.  Around 2, my co-worker Petra calls asking for advice with her kitten, who had just been spayed.  I'm considered the cat expert on my shift.

After my pedicure, I drove over to the Mall and dropped off my dry cleaning, and went walking around the mall looking for hair clips.  They took the Bath and Body out and put in a Love 21 or whatever, which carries nothing but inexpensive jewelry.  I found a couple of bargains there.  Which is good, cause just before that I blew about 40 bucks at Claires.  I also went to Target.  I need to stay out of that store.  I had a gift card for them though, so that wasn't so bad.   I got more hair clips, and some toys for my nephews for xmas.  I got Landin Shoots and Ladders, it's an easy game, and he's very smart.  So I'll teach him to play it when I go visit in December.

I stopped for Japanese on the way home, and was watching ST:TNG when Mark gets back.  I have him help show me how to play City of Villains, my first MMORPG.  It's kinda funny, because I have trouble working the movement keys.  Mark says it's like a regular text based MUD, but I dunno, somehow this seems harder.  With a text based MUD, it felt more like typing.  The keys made sense.  I'll get used to it.  Who knows, I may end up on WoW some day after all.

I stayed up late Saturday so I could sleep late on Sunday and put myself back on my work schedule.  I wake up about 1:30, and spend the afternoon cleaning my room, the upstairs bathroom, and watching Reno 911.  The 3rd season isn't as funny as the first 2, I was disappointed. I wanted to go to either the Folsom St fair or Fogfest again, but I was tired and sore, so I stayed home.  Just as wel, I didn't need to be spending the money.  All too soon it was time for me to get ready for work.  I leave about ten after 6, which is plenty of time to get to Milpitas, but there was huge traffic on 101 at the airport, so I barely made it to work.  I clocked in at 7pm exactly, which is good, because I have perfect attendance for the month.

A good weekend.  But I'm pretty happy with the week coming up.  On Wed I come in to work late because I'm stopping by a co-workers bday party at Dave & Busters.  Friday is the team outting to see the Sharks.  Wooo!  I'm excited even if it is only a pre-season game.
