My office glows all night long, it's a nuclear show and the stars are gone...

I'll be making a longer entry later about the California trip, but it was a lot of fun and extremely scenic (HILLS! HOLY CRAP!!!!) I wore a wetsuit. Unfortunately (or perhaps luckily?) there is no photo documentation of this. Went to Disneyland. Stumbled across 70's era softcore porn at two in the morning with Mia, which turned out to be really funny because we kept flipping back and forth between that (we were trying to figure out what the hell was going on because it was the end of the movie and this one guy with eyeliner was dressed in a cape and thought he was superwoman and, while we watched, killed a hog-tied blond dude in a leopard skin man thong, two lesbians, and a Nazi) and A Walk to Remember. So, for those of you searching for a surreal double feature make it Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and a really weepy chick flick. Maybe the Notebook. But anyway, funniness ensued as well as a lot of good quotes (well, at least they were funny to us at that point) which I'll post later.

But, must say, it's good to be home. I went on an Amazon spree right before I left so when I got back there was this marvelous little pile of DVDs just waiting for me. It was like an awesome me-sponsored version of Christmas.

I also got a new idea for a book, completely different from the ones I've written. Who knows, maybe someone will actually read this one.

Ah, well. Good days lie ahead. Might actually start working on the album today after Alex comes over and helps me install stuff. w00t. OH! I nearly forgot! A miracle happened! Mom watched the Departed and LIKED it. I was sure that she'd turn it off after about the fiftieth "fuck" but she really liked it. She even liked Mark Wahlberg! So cool. Oh, and got my criterion collection edition of Charade. It is the most beautiful I've ever seen except for Notorious.

update more later.

love,
