TurkeyWeekend.

Because I like reading krisalis's's's, here's my

This (long) weekend, I...

- Woke up somewhat early on Thanksgiving and ran the Turkey Trot 5 miler with my husband, sister, her boyfriend, and a ton of TriZones folks.
- Went back home and showered and frantically finished cleaning the house.
- Hosted Thanksgiving dinner (lunch? roughly 3pm) for my husband, my parents, my sister, her boyfriend, my husband's brother, his wife, and their child (and their protochild).
- Gawked at my husband as he suggested we go to Fry's when we woke up Friday morning.
- Went to Fry's and managed to wade our way through the throngs to purchase Matt a new video card.
- Received the old video card, and placed it and the rest of my computer innards into a new, snazzy case with a power supply that doesn't randomly cut out (so far)
- Turned off the lights and stared in awe at the glowing blue and red lights coming from the front and see-through side of the case.
- Got tasty breakfast tacos from Taco Shack.
- Unapologetically slacked all the rest of Friday.
- Woke up when Matt got up to run Saturday morning, looked at the clock, went back to bed.
- Finally got up around 9am to do my "long" run.
- Ran 8 miles in my neighborhood, which started out really hilly and ended up really boring on the frontage road of Mopac.
- Met up with Matt and had breakfast at Einstein Bros.
- Cleaned up the house some from Thanksgiving mess, did laundry.
- Cooked up artichokes and the Italian Porkchops I had thawed from when tripam and I went to The Studio Kitchen.
- Began eating said porkchops, got to the middle, and freaked out because they were pink.
- Began doing searches on pork and how pink it could be and still not kill you, stopped eating said porkchops, took pictures of chops to let others who ever actually ate pork (since we never, ever do) decide if it would kill us.
- Decided I was overreacting (I know.. duh), and figured I'd just wait a few days to see if trichinosis set in.
- Enjoyed the artichoke!
- Slept in on Sunday, because Matt wasn't feeling up to his bike ride, and I didn't want to go alone.
- Went to a late, cheese-filled breakfast at Maudie's.
- Considered doing a late bikeride with the Tobiases, and then we all decided we were too lazy.
- Went back home to slack s'more, and played more Worlds of Warcraft.
- Got a haircut.
- Ate another of my frozed entrees (Carrie's Big Sandwich, everything pre-cooked for less chance of freakout!).
- More WoW.
- Reluctantly went to bed, thereby admitting my long weekend was over.

Overall, a very slackful weekend. Brief moments of running surrounded by eating and computing.

Because I ran on Saturday, though, this has been my longest mileage week so far this training season.. 16 last Sunday + 5 Thursday + 8 Saturday = 29 miles this week.

And now a month until more vacation. This is gonna be a long month.
