“Huh?” Henry titled his head with confusion on his face after Ryeowook let go from his hug.

“What is it Henry?” Ryeowook questioned with a smile, his hand clutched to Henry’s hand. “What’s the matter?”

“Nothing much,” Henry replied with a confused smile. “I just feel like I’m missing something.”

“That again? Are you sure it’s not your keys? Your cell phone? Your wallet?”

Henry slid his hands out of Ryeowook’s hand to pat down his pockets and felt the soft padding of his wallet and the hard surface of his phone. From his other pocket, he heard his keys jingle but the missing feeling was still there.

“No…” Henry slowly said, trying to remember what was missing. “Not those. I don’t know what.”

“Well,” Ryeowook started with a tender smile at Henry, “I hope you remember soon. You’ve been having this feeling for a while now.”

“I hope so too,” Henry said because the missing feeling he had left a little aching gap and he doesn’t know what was causing it.

---

“What’s up doc?” Sungmin grinned at Henry whose face scrunched up in annoyance.

“Stop saying that!” Henry whined and threw a cushion at him.

“What?” Sungmin caught the cushion with ease and sat plopped down next to Henry. “What’s up doc? What’s up doc is cool. So why not what’s up doc?”

“Just once I used it and you’ve been using it since,” Henry growled in frustration. Right now, no matter how close he was to Sungmin, he wanted to punch the older man. “And you use it every single chance you get, it’s annoying.”

“But it’s fun,” Sungmin reasoned and noticed Henry’s frown was a bit different from the others. “What’s wrong? Did something happened with Ryeowook again? Did he hold hands with someone in front of you again and you got sad?”

“No!” Henry shoved Sungmin by the shoulder and ignored his laugh. “I don’t get sad when Ryeowook-hyung hold hands with someone!”

Sungmin laughed before it died down and took Henry’s hand, studying the Canadian’s hand intensively for reasons unknown. “But kidding aside, why are you frowning like that? Did something happened?”

“I don’t know,” Henry sighed and let his head lulled to his side, on top of Sungmin’s shoulders. “I...I’ve been getting this feeling.”

Sungmin was about to open his mouth but stopped when he felt his hand being pinched by Henry’s free hand. “Ow…” Sungmin glared viciously at Henry. “Why’d you got to do that for?”

“And don’t,” Henry warned, “You better not answer it by singing ‘I Gotta Feeling,’ by the Black Eyed Peas.”

“What kind of feeling?” Sungmin asked after a long pause from fighting off the urge to respond in the way Henry had predicted.

“I feel like I’m missing something and I don’t know what. It’s been happening a lot more frequently. When I get close to know what I’m missing, it stops and I don’t know why.”

“Well,” Sungmin said after a while, “Whatever you are missing, I hope you find it soon. It’s going to affect you sometime sooner or later and it won’t be pretty.”

“I hope so too.”

And the two sat together, talking about nonsense and sometimes being rough until the other members of Super Junior came home. During this time, Henry noticed that the missing feeling was gone.

---

“Huh?” Henry titled his head with a small smile.

“Did you feel something’s missing again, Henry?” Ryeowook asked and looked at the younger boy.

“Yeah,” Henry nodded but his eyes were a bit glazed over, deep in thought.

“Do you remember what you’re missing now?”

“Not yet,” Henry said but gave a big smile for Ryeowook. He didn’t notice the slight blush spreading over the older man. “But - I think I’m getting closer. I just need to check a few things out and I’ll probably be certain.”

“That’s good Henry!” Ryeowook smiled brightly and gave Henry a short, but affectionate hug. And he didn’t let go entirely, nor did Henry tried to get away from his hold.

Nor did the two notice someone leaving angrily with clenched hands at the set they were shooting a new music video for.

---

Henry frowned when Sungmin gave a curt answer to his question before quickly excusing himself to the kitchen. Henry furrowed his eyebrows and wondered why on earth was Sungmin avoiding him lately. Henry sighed heavily and leaned back and watched the television blankly.

“What’s the matter?” Ryeowook came to Henry’s side, making Henry think of a fluttering hen worrying about her chick. “Did the missing feeling came back again?”

“Kind of,” Henry said and let Ryeowook take his hand. He felt that with Ryeowook’s presence, the big gap of aching feeling was slightly filled up. “But it’s something different now and I don’t know what…”

“Hmm…” Ryeowook gave no reply and just played with Henry’s hand. “Is it because of Sungmin-hyung?” Ryeowook asked tentatively as if he was afraid of the answer.

“What do you mean?” Henry was confused. What did Sungmin had to do with anything?

“Lately,” Ryeowook slowly started, eyes still on Henry’s hand. “It seems as though Sungmin-hyung has been avoiding you. Maybe that’s why you’ve been feeling something missing. Because you and Sungmin have always been together whenever you two can. But since he’s not around you as much as before, it’s probably why you’re feeling like this.”

Henry frowned and would have said something if Ryeowook did not continued.

“Maybe it’s because you have feelings for him so whenever he’s not around, you feel like something’s not right. Because you’re so used to his presence, you’re not accustomed to him not being there. Because you like him that much that your heart probably aches for his mere touch.”

“Feelings-what?” Henry looked at Ryeowook in surprised but he didn’t return his gaze. Ryeowook just looked elsewhere, staring at something intently. “Like him like- no. Not like that. I don’t have feelings for Sungmin-hyung. Why would you think that?”

Henry felt Ryeowook stopped playing with his hand and felt a firm squeezed from Ryeowook. Finally, Ryeowook looked at Henry, looked straight into his eyes with such a sad, longing face that made Henry want to hug Ryeowook and make all the bad things go away. And he did. Henry gave Ryeowook a long hug and Ryeowook leaned in to Henry’s shoulder with a soft sigh. After a moment, Ryeowook let go of his firm grip and pushed Henry gently away from him.

“Because,” Ryeowook started, his voice clipped with heavy emotion. “Because I noticed how you would smile extra brighter around Sungmin-hyung, how you would be more cheerful, and basically you just become more relaxed and livelier then I ever seen you when you are with Sungmin-hyung. I noticed because I’ve been watching you. I always have been and it just breaks my heart whenever I see you get hurt because of what Sungmin-hyung is doing.”

“Hyung…” Henry started, eyes wide but was stopped by Ryeowook dry laughter.

“And I don’t think Sungmin-hyung is even aware of why he’s doing it,” Ryeowook smiled wryly. “Both of you…all these years. You two are just so dense when it comes to each other.”

“I-”

Ryeowook shook his head, gave Henry a gentle smile, and patted his cheeks gently. “I’ll talk to Sungmin-hyung. Tell him to stop avoiding you.”

“But-” Henry tried again but Ryeowook just shook his head and leaned in for a hug that Henry instinctively returned.

Henry figured out the reason why his heart doesn’t beat a little faster around Ryeowook anymore and Henry doesn’t know whether this was a good thing or a bad thing.
