you say you want updates?! well then, here we go!
1. new york is hot in the summer.
2. going home this weekend to celebrate the wedding of two friends from high school. yay they're getting married, and here i am never having a relationship. yay! but i CANNOT wait to go home. it's been a couple months, and it'll be really nice.
3. my show is STILL GOING. i swear to god it'll never end.
4. doing well at my job, and i've been asked to stay on past the summer.
5. never wrote about it, but i got an interview to be an admin. asst. in the creative dept. at disney theatricals. it went so well, i totally clicked with the woman (director of casting/talent development) and saw the senior vp again who remembered me (she got me the interview), and it was a great time. i was told they had someone internally who wanted the job and due to politics she would get it. well she wanted it. the director called me personally tonight to tell me what happened, but i know i'm planting seeds where i need them to be planted...
6. i was asked to a.d. a show for the new york music theatre festival. still not directing, but this is an in to the festival i guess. i'm pretty tired of being an a.d. when i know i can direct. this director is at mason street, and after speaking with someone in his cast, i think this is going to be a pretty trying experience. oy.
7. iphone baby. sunday. i've been waiting more than half a year.
8. both my roommates are leaving me. it's sad. i have a whole slew of possibilities, but part of me still wants to find my own place. i know i'm staying put in new york, and to have to worry about actor roommates getting tours? not too keen about it. i'd love to relocate, but i love my neighborhood, and feel so at home. and all my friends are in the area...
