hey long time no update.
what's new. well i'm the production stage manager as well as the assistant director for an off off broadway new musical. waddup. i'm actually working in new york. AND the theater is next door to coyote ugly. soooo i'm pretty sure a drama desk is in my future? www.sexdrugsandukuleles.com
the family came to visit this weekend. what an emotional weekend. we saw mary poppins. i always get so damn emotional when i see a good musical (though i have many critiques of the show, surprise surprise) and let's just say i was a wreck for part of the show. at the end when m. poppins flies over the audience, i got us seats right under her flight path and definitely cried and the 4 of us all held on to each other. sometimes you have to pay $100 and sit through a disney spectacle just to have a cathartic moment. totally worth it though. reminded me why i love theatre and disney. when she was flying i took time to look at my family, and then at the hundreds of people just so effing happy and in awe. totally didn't take the time to look up her skirt. damn.
apple blows. i mean it's a great job, but i hate retail, i don't know what i'm selling, and now i have a real theatre job. interview tomorrow for an "internship" at theatre communications group. the woman interviewing me is a friend from muskegon...so....we'll see.
i guess i've been dating someone for 3 weeks now. hmm. interesting.
