Results/ Great Weekend
I received a letter in the mail yesterday. It was from NOISE, the Opera company I auditioned for a few weeks ago. I did not make the cut this time. So, I'll be moving on to the next audition. I'll also be helping more at church choir. I may be stepping in as the director of the 11AM gospel choir. I loves me some gospel! So, that should be quite the experience. I am excited, nervous and shocked out how much they all want me to do it. They believe in me a little too much, I think. :-)
My weekend rocked! On Friday I drove down to Yakima, WA to see my friend Andy perform. The drive was just beautiful. I love Washington. The beginning of the trip was filled with views of large mountains covered by evergreen trees, and near the end it was just rolling brown hills. It was beautiful. I had troubles keeping my eyes on the road. When I got to Yakima I met Andy for dinner at the Olive Garden. We had lots of fun catching up, and pigging out. I got to go back stage, meet the cast, check out the set, observe mic check. It was a lot of fun. The set and lights were amazing. The show was very entertaining! You Muncie folk will have to check it out when they're in town.
An old friend from high school, Meghan, was in Seattle visiting a friend of hers. So, on Saturday we met for lunch! It was so nice to catch up with her and meet her friend adriann. We had a good time. I was so excited the weather was still very nice for her visit. That night, Erik and I went to dinner with Carol and Tobin and saw the movie The Prestige. It was definitely a good movie, but it seemed a bit long. I'd see it again. The ending was great!
Now it's Sunday, and Erik and I have got to get to the store and to the gym. We've got some pasta and cheesecake to work off. ;-) Hope everyone had a great weekend too!
