Saw Paul
We saw Paul this evening and were very pleasantly surprised. The film is witty, treats nerd culture with a modicum of respect, and incorporates several in-jokes, a few of which I found myself being the only one in the theatre laughing at.
I'll note that early on when they mentioned one of the lead characters one the 1992 Nebula Award, my thought was "He doesn't look like Connie Willis." Later, when they refer to the award again, it is clearly called a Nebulon, so I imagine I simply heard what I expected to hear the first time around.
I recommend the movie.
