Mania

Man, did I have a bad night last night! After taking the various medicines I needed for my stinking cold, I forgot to take my usual little green pills, which luckily won’t make me hallucinate until I’ve forgotten them for 2 nights so all that bit of negligence did was give me the wildest dreams you, or I in this case, can imagine! Fueled, no ( Read more... )

Yeah, I figured it wasn't that great a movie for someone who wasn't familiar with Bobby Darin. I saw a few of those movies he did with Sandra Dee. At the time I didn't know they were married. This movie was meant for my generation.

I'm always excited about my "nest." I guess it's a female thing, but especially for me because I love art, and I'm also very practical, so a practical art like decorating, and fashion too, is one of the things I love about life. Even when I was a kid, I would go outside and make houses. I would make a line for walls, beds, etc. with rocks. When I went out into the "wild" I liked to build a hut out of branches and leaves. We lived near a vacant lot full of old car batteries, and we used them like building blocks to make houses. My paper dolls, which I made myself, and all their clothes (and sometimes sold some to other kids for a nickel) even had houses I made on sheets of paper. I cut furniture out of catalogs and pasted it in the rooms. I got my decorating badge in Girl Scouts by making a model room in a box. It was horrible, I thought. I still remember my idea for my dream bedroom.

I can't believe your ceiling has asbestos in it. How did you find out so quickly? It's too bad. I hate the popcorn too, but have learned to live with it. It doesn't bother me much. If it did, it wouldn't last long. I also can't believe you have olive green rooms with dark green trim! I can't wait to see. I love all my green rooms and there are more on the way. The living room/ kitchen paint I just got is called Mochachino, but it is still green, although a coffee green. Try some white trim in some of your rooms, especially if you use a light color on the walls. It really brings out the color in pale walls. I didn't realize I loved that look so much until after I moved to Hawaii. I have never painted over a nice wood molding, though. But I want to!

I'm so glad you are connected to such a good family, not to mention Josh! I know it's important to you. Being with the family is very important to me and Dennis, and to Les, but maybe it's important to everyone who has one. It should be, anyway.

Have you been looking for a job at all? Or are you doing your share with other work? Don't be depending on Josh for everything.

Love you, angel girl.

I just like Kevin Spacey enough to watch the movie all the way through. It was an alright story just a little slow.
I am very excited about my "nest" and so is Josh's mom. She has already paid for the new wood laminate flooring, and has bought us two outside patio bars with stools! She is too excited and I think it is awesome because she wants to help us do alot of the stuff, they are coming tomorrow to spray-paint the ceilings in the living room and tear up the carpet, also to show me how to plaster the walls in the kitchen were I tore off all the wallpaper. Lots of projects. The ceiling was going to come off and I was all ready but I started to do research and found someone who could test it for me in a day so I could start scraping the next day, it cost a little more than a send away kit, but I had to know, and we have it at 3%, anything above 1% is hazardous. So as long as we don't disturb it it is fine, so fine.

Yeah I am so thankful to have Josh and his family, they truly are very special people and I really care about them. I feel very lucky that they are so wonderful.

I have been looking for a job enough to keep collecting unemployment, which is really working out for me for now. Also we don't have to pay rent til September so I am ok moneywise. I have been working on the house everyday and soon will start packing. Both are full time jobs. I don't really depend on Josh for much at all. Also I have two more car payments and it is paid off!!!
I will probably start seriously looking for work after we move in, and also get registered for classes again. I am too excited for all these new begingings, it is a little nerve racking. Anticipation I guess. The house is really coming together, I can't wait to show you all the work I have done.
I love you mom!
