Tour '09 was a success.

Good things:
- All the concerts went pretty well.
-We played two double concertos, a viola double and a violin double. Katie and Alex played the violin double. Joe and I did the viola double two nights and David and Brenden the two nights. I liked playing the viola double, it was fun. :)
-Had a ton of fun being with a bunch of my close friends. I was really glad to share this last tour with them; I wouldn't have chosen anyone else. :)
-Weather was fantastic
-I got to see the river in Chicago turn green for St. Patrick's Day!
-I finally got to see "The Bean" at Millennium Park and take some goofy pictures
-Got to be tour manager with two of my best friends, Tori and Joe
-Only had one weird home stay
-Told Mr. Piippo how to correctly say Alex's last name after four years and Alex's face when he said it right at the last concert was absolutely priceless
-Had the best Chinese food ever at P.F. Changs in downtown Chicago with the Symphonette
-Got to see the CHICAGO SYMPHONY!!!
-Went to the Art Institute in Chicago. looooove museums :)
-New inside jokes were formed :)
-David almost got kicked out of Woodfield Mall for taking out his viola and playing. Funniest thing ever.
-David and Andrew basically peeing their pants at the Chicago Symphony concert
-Having home stays with Tori, Emily and Jackie.
-Our lunch stop yesterday and the "guess that candy" game. Don't EVER try the Boston Baked Beans candy. gross. lol

Good and Bad thing:
-having the talk
-The seniors in the viola section. I'm gonna miss my boys a lot. :(

Bad things:
-For the fourth year in a row, I got sick during tour. Always the last day and a half, like clockwork.
-Had to get up at 6 to get into Chicago before the closed the roads for St. Patrick's Day weekend festivities at 7:30 on Saturday. Yay sleep depravation
-Got home at midnight last night
-The taxis Piippo reserved to take us from P.F. Changs to the concert hall didn't arrive so about half of us walked there instead... in heels. oh well, the concert was worth it.
-grad school
-And the worst: knowing that last night was the second to last concert I will be playing with this orchestra at Hope

It was a good tour. It wasn't perfect, but that's what made it a good tour. :)

Now onto the next challenge.
