Quote of the day-"If you see a llama...while swimming in the ocean...yell "Oh no! There are llamas!"-Some hippie singing
Great Dungeons and Dragons session. It was our last one, and everyone actually lived against the boss. Here's how it went. We took a ship outside the enemy territory, and arrived there, walking to a huge fortress. We spent most of the time figuring out how to get in before we decided to send the halfling up with a rope and secure it for us to climb. First time he tied it, he tested it with his foot-snap. Second time-snap. Then, the enemy saw us.
Amazingly, she was on our side. Apparently the guy with the demon sword that we were trying to get was her father, and the sword had corrupted him. So she led us into the dungeon where he was, and we fought him. Even though the halfling came incredibly close to dying, we managed to beat him. So we took the sword and rolled it up into a bedsheet and stuck it into the bag of holding.
Then, the girl who had helped us told us that the guy we were fetching the sword for also wanted to use it to summon demons. Well, shit. So now we had to figure out how to destroy it. We researched the library, and found that we could get a high level wizard or cleric to dispel the evil magic. So the girl found a wizard in the village to help us. After the magic was dispelled, we could shatter it. So the wizard tried using dispel, and our cleric used Shatter. Well...Dispel failed. Shatter didn't. So now we have innumerable shards of an evil demon sword scattered everywhere. What does THAT remind you of? Now we have to get all the shards and bring to them to a wizard to dispel the magic on every one of them. Woot. I swear, we did not plan that. It's all the cleric's fault.
Outside of my nerddom, I'm having fun. I'll be home in less than a week! Hooray!
