How funny that it would take me until the age of 23 to discover that I am highly allergic to seafood. Highly allergic. I went for those prick tests tonight at the allergist. You should have seen the size of the lumps that blew up on my arm. Yeouch! Then he dares to tell me not to scratch them. Yeouch more.

But hey apparently I have expensive taste. I am allergic to all types of seafood except for lobster and crabmeat. And strangely enough I ate tuna earlier this year without any hassles. Hmm confusion.

I am also supposedly mildly allergic to cat. Mildly?! I certainly would't call the reaction I have to my cat mild. Sneezing and coughing fits, puffy eyes itchy entire body. Then hey, I suppose it's not like I stopped breathing.

Anyway, the interesting part I found was that when I commented on how strange it was that it took me so long to discover my fish allergy, I was told that apparently quite often children don't like and hence avoid the foods that they are allergic to. Hmm so maybe that explains it...
