[Terra watches him from a few paces away. It's not her intention to spy on him, any more than before, but lately she seems to run into him without much effort. That last time comes to mind, though, and she wonders...did he see her? Perhaps she should go, before questions emerge.]

[He goes around retrieving the shuriken from their targets, yanking them out. When he gets to the last one, finding it amid some plants, he stands and... sees her.]

[She nods to him, not saying anything about the shuriken that missed.]

I didn't mean to interrupt. I was just looking for...them.

[It's also going through Shadow's mind, wondering what Terra may have seen... but at the same time he doesn't want to accuse her of anything. She's one of few he has no instinct to threaten.]

I've done the same... but there's been no sign of anyone new. From our world or others.

[She looks crestfallen at that, if not especially surprised.]

I've heard of a few others, just...not lately. But people are still disappearing, aren't they? Or is it stuck both ways?

They still disappear, from what I can tell. They're just not coming in.

[As matter-of-fact and indifferent sounding as ever. Though there's a flash of disappointment in his eyes. Even if it's better for none of them to show up here.]

Then...maybe, possibly, this weirdness is ending and we'll all be sent home.

[Pause.]

But I'm not going to believe that until it actually happens.

I wouldn't count on it.

[He's always willing to be straight with the truth toward Terra. Even if that truth might not be the best thing to hear, he knows she'd rather have that.]

But it probably means something new in store for us.

[Terra furrows her brow.]

Maybe they have all the people they need right now, for their war? But then, why haven't there been any more recruitments?

I take it you're keeping prepared. We don't know who they'll choose for the next one...

[Terra nods.]

I've been training every day, just in case. But it's a little harder without actual monsters to fight. I tried looking for Kefka too, but he keeps eluding me and the times I've found him, I'm pretty sure that's because he wanted to be found.
