last night as i was high.....
i drew this:
...and i wrote this:
you cant see past this face
and to you there is no trace
of a soul or some intangible thing
and around my mind questions ring
do you see whats inside?
past this physical form
behind which my love hides
between dreams and reality, i'm torn.
and then i wrote this:
i fail to grasp the way you move
the way you think, and the things you do
it slips between my fingers
into oblivion to linger
until a river opens up and caries me away
and when im at rest it'll all become clear
and in my mind this will forever sear
the image of how you are
and of every single scar
for all the times no one was there
and for all of those who didnt care
so you sit patiently and wait
and you begin to appreciate
how the light never was your friend
and around the darkness your mind does bend
much in the way i do...
so i'll stay and wait with you.
drinking year-old wine while high.....a very interesting experience, indeed.
