Heather is having a problem with lieing. Last night I was cuddeling her and I could smell chocolate on her hands and breathe. I asked her if she had chocolate, telling her not to lie. She stayed silent. I asked several times more, making it obvious I knew and just wanted her to tell the truth. First she just nodded. Then I finally got her to admit it. I was just trying to get her to tell the truth so that was the end of the discussion... and then bedtime came. omg.
I read her two stories. One extra because I had been too tired the previous day to read her one. I find it funny how the lion king suddenly turned into a story about what lieing can do to your life.
We got to the part where Mufasa dies and scar blames Simba. Heather didn't understand what was going on so I said that Scar killed Simba's dad and lied, saying Simba did it. Heather asked why Scar lied. I told her it was because he was a bad Scar. I threw in "See. That’s what lying does. That's why its bad. It made Simba sad". Then we got to the part where Scar almost pushes Simba off pride rock and reveals that he actually killed Simba's dad. Yet again I threw in some comments about lying. Did she get my message? I have no clue. She's a smart kid, but stubborn as hell. She only hears what she wants to hear.
So that was a little after 8. 10 rolls around and she's still up! I blame the chocolate. She blew her nose and went to bed. Kyndra and I went to bed a little later. Around 3 a.m. she woke up again and just kept demanding stuff. She wanted water or had to go to the bathroom or needed an animal. These are what I define as stalls. She could go to the bathroom of course but the other things she just had to go back to bed without (she had water before time besides). She threw a tantrum for what seemed like an hour but must have been about 10 -20 mins. Suddenly she was quiet. I fell asleep and was awoken but the sound of dishes crashing. At first I thought it was the cats maybe knocking something into the sink. Then I remember Heather having trouble sleeping so I went into the kitchen and found her on a chair by the sink trying to get water. I sent her back to her room and she eventually went to sleep.
Took me a little time, and then I woke up at 7:30 (very late) and I was still really really sleepy.
Heather can't remember any of it. When she woke up Kyndra asked Heather what happened last night and Heather said cheerfully "Daddy read me TWO books!!". She said she couldn't remember anything else.
Kyndra, I belive this is genetically your fault. :p I see an uncanny similarity with how the two of you handle getting in trouble. (I say this lovingly and just making fun of course)
