Chapter 9:
Chapter 9:
After helping Min wash up and putting him to bed, Junsu spent the next 2 hours cleaning the living room and then making some porridge for Min to sooth his stomach.
He went into Changmin's bedroom and sat down on the bed, looking at the sleeping form and stroking the frail boy's head.
He watched as Min opened his eyes and the two of them stared at each other. Changmin held out his palm and waited as Junsu intertwined their fingers and lay down next to him, placing his head against Min's shoulder.
"What's happening to you?" Junsu croaked out. Changmin felt his heartbreak at the desperation in his hyung's voice. He turned onto his side and buried his head into his hyung's chest, "I'm dying, hyung. I have cancer."
Junsu felt numb. His brain shut down, unwilling to process the information being relayed to him. But then in some corner of his mind, everything began to click into place - Changmin's erratic behaviour, his weekly disappearances, the fact that he refused to help them with inconsequential matters, his cold attititude. It all made sense now. Too much sense.
Junsu jerked away from Changmin and stared at the pale face in front of him. He felt shock reverberating throughout his body. With his shaking hands, he wiped away strands of hair from Min's forehead and looked into the boy's eyes. He opened his mouth to say a lot of things, but only one thing came out, "Don't die. Please.Don't leave me."
Changmin winced at the pathetic tone of voice and grabbed hold of Junsu's face, placing feather light kisses on the boy's forehead and cheek. He pulled Junsu closer towards him, wrapping his leg around the older one's body and held him as tightly as he possibly could. Min closed his eyes and breathed in the smell of shampoo from Junsu's hair, "Yah..You stupid duck butt...even when I die..I'm never going to leave you. Understand? I'll always be there, in your heart, in your memories and in our songs. And when I see God, I'll tell him to do the world a favour and give your kids your wife's genes." Junsu, who had tears coming out of his eyes, choked on a laugh and hit Changmin lightly. "YAH! YOU STILL HAVE THE GALL TO TALK TO YOUR HYUNG LIKE THAT?!" Changmin looked at Junsu, fighting a smile and said deadpanned, "What hyung? I only see a screeching dolphin with a big butt." Junsu gaped at the boy and snatched a pillow from underneath their heads and started whacking the boy in front of him. Changmin squealed like a girl and covered his head with his arms and laughed.
Junsu stopped hitting Changmin and crawled onto the younger boy's body and lay down on top of it. He put his arms around the younger boy's neck and cried some more. Changmin sighed and wrapped his arms around his hyung, "Junsu-hyung. Don't tell the others, please? They have enough to worry about as it is." Junsu looked up at him and shook his head, "I'm telling them. They have a right to know why you've been acting like this. It'll kill them if they find out later and then they'll feel helpless and guilty for not treating you better." Changmin whacked Junsu on the upside of his head, "You moron. I don't want them treating me better! I want them treating me like normal! I want my last days to be as normal as they can possibly be. They won't die if I tell them later, they'll die now! Yunho-hyung! He won't be able to take it. NOT YET. They need to learn how to live without me! They need to learn to live life without me! Why can't you understand?! Why can't you see that this is the only way to make all of this work?!"
Junsu stared wide eyed at the younger boy's outburst. He didn't realise that the boy was worrying so much about the others. He'd forgotten how selfless his dongsaeng could be. Always putting others before himself, even though he was hurting himself in the process.
"Ok. I won't say anything. But you better let me take care of you, okay? I want to be there for every doctor's visit and if you're tired I want you to tell me and let me make you feel better."
Changmin sighed in relief and proceeded to tell him about everything he intended to do and everything the doctor had told him about his illness. Junsu nodded at every interval and asked Min questions if he couldn't understand something.
When Min finished his explanation, Junsu got off of Changmin and walked towards the door, "I'm going to go reheat your porridge. Don't go back to sleep, I'll bring it in five minutes." With that Junsu turned to leave but was stopped once again by Changmin's voice, "Hyung, If you slip up and tell ANYONE, I'll email all our fans that video of you dancing naked to single ladies." Junsu turned and stared at Changmin in horror. "YOU WERE THERE?!" Changmin grinned evilly and watched as Junsu grumbled and walked out of his room, saying something about poisoning the porridge. Life isn't that bad sometimes, is it.
A/N Ah...so after the previous chapter, which was hell to write because of the angst, this chapter sort of gives you a break doesn't it. I laughed my ass off writing it. So it was pretty fun. Oooh so here's another picture for you...it made me crack up :P The credit for the picture goes to whoever made it...I just wanted to share it because it was so funny and sooo true.
