Chapter 7:
Jaejoong slammed the door open, striding into Changmin's room like he owned the place. Changmin glanced up from his laptop and glared at the intruder, "Few years of freedom take away your brain cells too? Have you heard of calling before coming over or for that matter knocking?"
Jaejoong ignored the deliberate jibe and threw himself on top of Changmin's bed. "First off, if you wanted to be alone in your "deep world of thought" then you and Yunho wouldn't have bothered buying yourselves apartments in the same building as mine and secondly, you wouldn't have given me the code to enter your apartment, so don't even play the "privacy card" with me. Now stop watching porn and talk to me. I'm bored out of my mind."
Changmin shot out of his chair and straddled Jaejoong on the bed. He began tickling the older boy relentlessly, watching amusedly as he saw tears of mirth slide out through the corner of Jaejoong's eyes. Min burst out laughing and slid off of Jaejoong and lay down beside him. He could hear the older boy hiccuping and smiled.
Jaejoong turned on his side and faced Changmin. He reached out and tucked a stray lock of hair behind Min's ear, gently. Changmin turned his head and looked at Jaejoong and the two of them stared into each others eyes for what seemed like an eternity. "Jaejoong-hyung, why are you really here?" Jaejoong blushed a little and turned away, "I told you I was bored and needed someone to talk to." Changmin smirked, "You liar. I know you and Yunho are supposed to be buried under plans for the comeback concert, you can't afford to be "bored". Jaejoong turned even redder if that was possible before sighing, "Altright! I was just worried. You've been awfully anti-social lately. You haven't come for any of the dinners that I've planned for the five of us and you always disappear once a week with the manager for some stupid reason or the other. Every time Yunho or anyone else comes to ask you for help, you ask them to find someone else. It's just not like you Min."
Changmin gazed at Jaejoong's pouting face. He hadn't given his hyung enough credit. He'd been quite observant and he wondered if the others had noticed something weird too. "I haven't been trying to be anti-social hyung. I just haven't had time to go for your dinners because of prior commitments. As for going with the manager, I've been helping the man with some of his personal problems. And if I've been refusing to help with anything, it's because you guys come to me for the stupidest of reasons. I mean honestly, it isn't that hard to find your own glasses or proof read your own lyrics, is it?"
Jaejoong huffed a little. He knew Min would have a ready answer for everything, and that annoyed him. For once, Jaejoong had hoped to catch the boy unawares and shake the boy's perfect state of mind. He was about to say something else when a sudden idea struck him.
Changmin felt a sudden urge to run, when Jaejoong's pout turned into a devious grin. He watched in mild horror as Jaejoong turned to face him an expression of pure evil marring his face. He was just about to sit up and make a run for it, when he felt Jaejoong grab hold of the back of his head and smash their lips together into a searing kiss. Changmin groaned when he felt Jaejoong nip at his lower lip. Jaejoong pulled away just as abruptly as he had initiated the kiss and stood from his position on the bed. He grinned down at Changmin's flushed face before walking out of the room.
Changmin tried to slow his pounding heart as he heard the main door of his apartment closing. He brought his hand to his mouth and pressed down, his lips tingling from the kiss. He shook himself out of his stupor and felt his eyes soften.
Jaejoong had always done stuff like this. Trying to catch Min unawares at something or the other. Somewhere through all of this something had changed.
Somewhere in between Changmin had begun to develop feelings for his childish-hyung, but those feelings had been suppressed when the three of them had chose to leave the company. Now that they were back, however, he'd have wanted nothing more than to explore those feelings again, but other circumstances wouldn't allow for that to be an option.
He sighed as he thought about the others, the rejected looks on their faces when he'd refused to help them. He wanted to help them, give in to their pleading expressions but he couldn't. This was his only way to make them self-reliant. To stop them from depending on him for every little thing like they had done in the past.
Though now he had another problem. How was he going to stop Jaejoong from seeking him out for these little games?
The mere thought of Jaejoong doing these things with any of the other three made jealousy slither through his veins like a poisonous snake. He couldn't let that happen. But something needed to be done. He supposed it was time he stopped humoring the older one so much.
With this resolve in mind, Changmin started to get up to go back to his laptop. He looked up and glanced at his reflection in the mirror. His body stilled in shock as he saw tears rolling down his cheeks. He wiped at them hastily, wondering why he hadn't noticed before. He didn't even know why he was crying...But, at that point, a voice inside him said, who knew the most painful part of all of this would be to stop yourself from giving into your love.
