Whoohoo!!! Now that was a freakin' awesome way to start my day! I loved that movie and have not watched it in a while. Thanks for sharing that!!!

You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed. I kept putting off seeing the film because I hadn't seen Pitch Black, and then we saw this in the video store on sale and I said, heck with it, let's buy it...heh. So I still haven't seen Pitch Black, but I really enjoyed this one, and enjoyed it a second time when I was watching bits of it in order to screencap!

Coolness...I finally saw Pitch Black for the very first time a month or so ago, because I've been wanting to see this movie. Granted, I know it's not a sequel, per se, but still, I wanted to see the first one first. And then, of course, in the hurly-burly of waking life, I completely forgot about this movie (probably because I haven't been out to rent movies in a while). Thanks for reminding me AND giving me extra incentive. I didn't know Karl was in it...damn, but he looks yummy! Especially now that he's shaven and you can see those lips. Guh..sdkfaj;sldkfjasl...

heee...like I was saying above, I kept putting off seeing this one because I hadn't seen Pitch Black, and so then eventually the whole thing just passed me by. Heh. But finally we just went ahead and bought the DVD of this one and I was glad I ended up liking it. It does have a few things that don't quite work--I suspect the original story had far more detail, but you always lose out on narrative when you're cutting something down to a mere two hours. If nothing else, it's just awesome to look at and everyone in it is really good. I very much enjoy Karl as an evil dude...he's good like Seanie in that he brings a little something extra to it all the time; he's not just a cookie cutter baddie.

And I *definitely* prefer him cleanshaven because his mouth is one of the things I have a problem with...heh. The lips are more enticing this way and I really do think he looks better the shorter his hair is.

I am glad I am not the only one deaded. His eyes KEEEEEL me. Especially with all that smudgy eyeliner around them. *GAH*

Hope you enjoy the film...it's not perfect but it's definitely a visual treat!

I enjoyed the hell out of this movie in the theater -- the art direction and cinematography were yummy. Don't tell anyone -- I enjoy Karl but he doesn't normally do it for me that way either, except in Bourne Supremacy, where oh god! dribble wibble drool! In this movie, well I have a thing for Judi Dench anyway. [/freak]

I'm sorry now that I missed it in the theater, because I agree, the cinematography and art direction and...THE PRETTEH...were just amazing and would have been spectacular on the big screen.

You're in good company! Karl just doesn't always zing my strings, but certain things about him, like those damn evil eyes, and his broad shoulders...gah...just keeel me dead. He definitely stunned me in Bourne Supremacy with his hotness! I now know I prefer him evil...heh... And hey, Judi Dench is awesome! :P

Karl in Bourne Supremacy is eye-fucktastic! I also used to like on Xena when Cupid would get all wicked. Hee! Have you read heartofslash's Men in Short Skirts? Karl all cranky in Cupid costume + Eric all hot on Hector armor = Incinerating!

And Judi Dench can top me any time.

You know, I've never seen him on Xena, because I didn't really watch the show. But I've seen screencaps and definitely he does seem to be workin' the wicked charm. heartofslash writes fanTABulous fic so I may have to check out the short skirt and armor perving...whee! Thanks for the heads-up! :P
