Yes, i beleive Kate was a beard. Yes, i beleive Katie Holmes is bearding for Tom Cruise - that one's so obvious that *everybody* sees it. Yes, i find it terribly amusing that Kate Bosworth was considered a choice for Tom's new girlfriend. Its kind of ironic.
I don't unfriend people who don't share the same point of view as me - if i did, my friends list would be pretty sparse. I'm pretty open minded that way. And with respect to Kate Bosworth, in times of "fandom drama" that has revovled around her, i have gone as far as to defend the girl against those who bashed her because i don't like to see it happen either. However, if you want to unfriend me for the mere thought that i miss her because of the *fun* that she brought to fandom, go right ahead. I'll just reserve the right to think of you as a close minded, stuck up, holier than thou meanie who takes things far too seriously.
*shrugs and rolls eyes*

People friend and unfriend me practically every day on LJ, usually w/o ever giving a reason why. It's the nature of LJ, and I try not to worry about it unless it's a close friend. It's very interesting to me that you say it's no skin off your nose, and that *I'm* the one taking things too seriously, when you came over here and deliberately confronted me about a simple unfriending, and then chose to insult me over my point of view, which I believe I am equally entitled to.
Yes, I do think stewardess_lotr made some very valid comments. But the simple fact of the matter is that LJ is for me a place of entertainment and fun. If posts are upsetting me, I don't want to read them, and nothing says I have to. And considering you've only commented in my LJ five times in the last year, it seems I've nothing much here that you want to read, either. So for me, the matter is closed.

'Tis true that is the nature of LJ - but while you choose to just ignore it and move on, i like to know the reason why. And you gave me the reason why - thank you for that. I actually really do appreciate your honesty. It just turns out that i find your reason for unfriending me rather... insulting. Not to mention surprising as all heck. The post in question was incredibly innocuous, and i am shocked that somebody took offense to it. Is LJ so bereft of Kate Bosworth wank since the breakup that you'll take offense to the slightest, smallest thing?

And if you read my comments correctly, i did not a) insult you over your point of view; b) dispute that you are entitled to it. I commented on your actions, which i beleive result from a narrow minded, high-horse mindset.
If the point of view you are referring to is our difference in opinion on Orlando & Kate, i have no problem with people who share the same thoughts on that issue as you do, and there are a great many of these people on my flist. It seems that you are the one who has a problem tolerating other people's points of view, and allowing for the fact that not everybody may agree with you.
If the point of view you are referring to is your point of view on me and my post about Kate never once did i dispute that you are allowed to think what you want about that. At the same time, i do reserve the right to defend my position and take offense when somebody judges me negatively because of it.
What i do have a problem with is people who use that point of view as a moral yardstick, and choose to judge people based on that. I cannot tolerate people who are as close minded, narrowminded, judgmental and hypocritical as you have proven yourself to be. You're right that LJ should be a place for fun, and as such - i try to eliminate negative presences from my flist. You've actually done me a favour by unfriending me - because, as it turns out you seem to be cut from the same cloth as stewie, and as such deserve no place on my friends list at all.
And considering you've only commented in my LJ five times in the last year, it seems I've nothing much here that you want to read, either. So for me, the matter is closed.
Communication is a two way street, and it is a rare occasion that i recieved a comment from you.
