I'm not sure, but I think some peeps have software that allows them to post in both at the same time? I haven't had the time/energy to explore any such options. Some peeps I see are already dual-posting and so they have two sets of comments to answer...that does seem like it could lead to confusion. Ack. I think if I were to post in both places I'd send all the comments to one site so I could keep them all together.
There is no guarrantee it won't happen elsewhere, you're right. As for fighting LJ, we don't really have much to fight *with*. Loading up their news posts with complaints and cat macros doesn't seem to have done much, though it's enough of an annoyance that they have at least addressed it. But really LJ has the upper hand in this. If they want to, they can delete us any time they like and we won't get any of our money back. If we stop paying them, then we have limited bells and whistles and are forced to look at their ads. If we leave, they're happy because now we're not posting stuff that might scare away their advertisers.
Personally, I really don't *want* to leave. And if LJ eased up on their attack of specifically homosexual art in one fandom, I'd feel a lot better about it. But if a big portion of my flist leaves or fades away, I might just have to make the move.
