Exhausted.

What a weekend.

Friday night was spent digitising Dan's film. For some reason, however, it was digitising with drop frames on Leeloo, so after two days worth of digistising, I decided to scrap it and went to Leon's place and re-digitised on his computer on Saturday and edited till around 4am and finished it and burned it so I could deliver to him on Sunday pre-filming another friend's film. Woke around 8am Sunday morning to my friend calling saying that she needed me then instead of midday, so went there and finished at 3:30am!!!

Dropped Dan's film to him around 4am and then trundled off home, crawling into bed at 4:37am (time on dvd player before rolling over).

SOOOOOO exhausted!

Have a production meeting after work and then possibly Kino. Though I may skip Kino as it's on Cinematheque night! How rude! ;o)

There were horrible syncing issues with the editing for Dan's film... for some reason, the audio was a little out (around 4-6 frames on each one) so it was a lot to play around with. Also trying to match the audio (half were labelled wrong or in the wrong folder and some shots didn't even have audio, so had to edit around it. I think what came out of it was pretty much the best that could happen with what we had... especially with no pre-production having gone into it.

The shoot yesterday was good. One of the first that I've been on that have been organised well, but still not completely prepared for. Reminded me of Lyndon's film from last year - the 1st AD was crap and I ended up taking over that role to save his film and Leon and Karl helped out and the three of us sat Lyndon down to help him work out how to actually shoot a film. Turned out well for Lyndon though - won audience award in shorts around sydney, so good for him! Don't know how this other film will be though.

Unfortunately, working on other people's work has once again meant that I wasn't able to do my dawn photo shoot again. This is getting annoying as I've been wanting to do it for around 4 weekends now, and haven't been able to. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to stop working on other people's films and start on my own. I came up with two ideas that would work well as shorts. Quick & snappy. Which I'm proud about as I've never been able to do that before. Hurrah!

So my new resolution - unless it's approached with complete professionalism, I'm not going to work on other people's things. The end product is just not worth the sleep deprivation.

Hung out with Ayla and Rohan though, and drove down to Renee & Chris' new place (they'd bought a three bedroom house!!! in Heathcote though... very far!) but great place! So happy for them. And extremely jealous. A house! Go them! It was a really good time and a welcomed relief from a rather hectic month.

Had 3 Easy Way drinks this weekend. 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday.

I'm not addicted!

Yes. Yes, I am.
