Back from NYC! For about a week!
My tentative travel schedule for the rest of February (I need to book hotels and finalize for everything but L.A., but I won't be able to do that until tomorrow for reasons I'll explore later):
Mountain View: Mon. Feb 17 - Fri. Feb 21
San Francisco: Fri. Feb 21 - Thurs. Feb 27
Los Angeles: Thurs. Feb. 27 - Sun. Mar 2 (Escapade! I'm registered now!)
I'll be hauling around my giant purple suitcase for two weeks, and staying the weekend in SF because I never get to be a tourist when I'm there.
Did I also mention that I'm booking a trip to Ecuador in June? I've never been to South America! A couple of days in the Amazon, fuck yeah!
In other news, I'm back from Manhattan. Aside from it being a very busy work week and getting to see local fans (yay!), I had some interesting adventures. I lost my wallet and had to cancel all my cards and file a police report, only to get a call at LaGuardia (after managing to get through TSA screening without ID and as I was 30 minutes away from boarding my flight) that my wallet had been found. By a nice woman who mailed it to me using the cash that magically was still in the wallet. Good people exist! The tracking number says it should be delivered tomorrow!
Also, snow removal was slightly lacking in Manhattan this week (I'm not looking at you, Bill de Blasio, but maybe I am looking at you, what's it to you?), and I didn't bring my real winter boots with me. I guess that's on me for failing to plan, because I fell down. Hard. My injuries are various and slowly healing. But I guess I'm slightly more of an adult than I thought, because I think that I survived having no money or dignity with a sliver of aplomb. I had to get on the phone and call people for days, and I used to be the person who barely could call in a pizza order.
My life usually isn't this exciting. I'm seeing Coriolanus next weekend and probably getting a haircut. I may try to write and answer more comments from last month's question meme now that I'm home for a week. I may go to Target now and buy some coffee filters and cauliflower with my temporary debit card.
