I don't know, I've been off watching Patsy and Edina get drunk in France
Thanks to Film Crew being on Hulu, I've now seen Rue McClanahan doing a striptease. I think this makes my life complete in ways I'm not entirely comfortable with.
I went to VividCon! It was great, even if it involved a lot of crying. I'm going to Dragon*Con on Thursday. And apparently I'm going to Hawaii in October? I've never been, and we'll be on Kauai Island. I had to go shopping for a bathing suit! I have to do research on what I want to do! And what I want to do may involve a lot of being lazy in the sun.
Other than that, I've just been working, getting exercise, watching stand-up on Netflix, and cooking all the things. The other day I made mango sorbet. I made tomato sauce from scratch with Mirepoix. Sautéed kale. Endless variations on stir fry. I'm thinking about making salsa this weekend because I have tons of tomatoes and hot peppers. Recipes with more eggplant than I've ever consumed in my life.
Speaking of eggplant. I got this in my CSA box recently, and my first reaction was to laugh uproariously and then tweet a picture of it to Craig Ferguson.
I got an enormous fuck off Golden Hubbard squash in this morning's box. Finding a way to roast it is going to be entertaining.
Anyway. Time for strawberries and something silly on the TV before I put on my running shoes. Stay safe, East Coast!
