As I sit here watching "Troy" I find myself wondering where the wailing woman soundtrack originated.
It seems to be the ubiquitous soundtrack for loss in both television and movies. I first recall hearing the wails in Zena: Warrior Princess in early college. Then as Scully's pregnant-missing Mulder theme song and most recently in Battlestar Galactica. Was Zena really the first?
