My World, this week
It has been a long, long time since I last updated this LJ and a lot has happened in the past few weeks (Thank you, for the nudge sillifluous). Also, I have some exciting news to share. :D
• My keyboard died on me last week, so here I am typing with a brand new keyboard. Yes, worthless piece of news but it felt like I was cyber toothless without my beloved keyboard.
• Exams got over on 23rd September and lets just say, I am glad they are over and done with.
• I have a job!!! :D :D
This piece of news happened yesterday. I have been recruited as a Management Trainee in the field of financial research for U.S based clients. The company is good, the pay is good, or far better than anything I could dream of, and I liked the people who interviewed me, so hopefully, it will be an exciting experience. It is a stressful job (they warned me beforehand) and I will be required to work around 12 hrs. a day. The catch here, I will be working in Mumbai, specifically, in Thane.
Yesterday, after a rigourous selection process of aptitude test, group discussions and interview and elmination of around 80-84 students, they selected 6 students. By the end of this process which lasted throughout the day, I did not care whether I would be selected or not, I simply wanted to go home and sleep. I was so tired!
Please pardon me, if I sound to be blowing my own horn (or trumpet?) but yes, I am quite proud of myself and happy. :D :D
Anyway, so that's my piece of good news. It is still sinking in, but slowly. It feels like a dream. I am also a bit scared as I am worried that by the time that I complete my MBA, they will tell me that they don't want me. Yes, silly me. Also, I haven't yet received the offer letter. So, hopefully, this dream will not turn out to be a nightmare and will be a smooth journey. *keeping my fingers crossed*
