Good Friends Wanted:
i've been in quite a funk lately. I'm not depressed or angry or anything like that...i just really miss my friends and family.
It's hard enough to make good friends when you're in your mid twenties and then you add a new environment and a pretty face to the mix and it makes it that much more difficult. Ah yes the appearance issue, here's my theory: females hate competition, so they see that you're a pretty girl and most of the time don't even give you a chance at friendship....i've had this happen way too much in my life, especially in high school. I even almost missed out on befriending my best friend, Amanda due to this fact, but luckily we had to talk to one another b/c we worked at the same animal hospital and yay we became friends. Has anyone else noticed this strange occurrence or is it just all in my head?
