After seeing those girls from Beauxbatons, I have to wonder exactly what they have going for them, other than their perfect hair, and their naturally straight teeth, and their statuesque physiques, and their flawless complexion, and their lucid eyes darkly rimmed with long flutterly lashes, and their polished mannerism...and after yesterday's Quidditch match, I swear that they have some mechanism to repel all dirt and grime built naturally inside them. They should apply that to their school slogan. I can see it now: "Not only will they provide you with an endless supply of butterflies and something eye-catching to admire when all else is bleak and bare, but now the new and improved Beauxbaton witch version 2.0, the self-cleaning model, shall never be in need of either bathing or grooming. Satisfaction guaranteed."

Whatever. Our team did a far better job at the Dueling competition today. Remus, I must say that your technique is always superb. Everyone did splendidly today. Go team go! All the way to the finals!

I also looked in on our plant from Day 1. It seems to be doing well, being the little fighter that it is. It's resourceful, I'll give it that, and already it's showing so much Hogwarts character. Alice, you really have a green thumb there.

Saturday should be an interesting day for me. Who here sees the irony in one girl being teamed up to complete a maze with three blokes who would probably be like most blokes and have an aversion to asking for directions? It's a maze we're talking about here! A MAZE! At any rate, I'm really looking forward to it. We have the erm great Gilderoy Lockhart on our team. There MUST have been some good reason Headmaster Dumbledore assigned him to this particular competition. We should have nothing to worry about, right?
