Sigh.
Why are the husbands being apologised to? Either Sir Allen's physical affection towards the women was acceptable to them or it wasn't. In the former case, no apology is necessary; in the latter, the women should be given the apology. In neither case does it seem to me that the husbands should be angry with anyone other than, perhaps, their wives.
