When I decided to dj a radio show for an online forum, I had no idea what to expect. Even though I had chickened out of actually speaking 'on air' I knew it would be something totally new ...
So I sat in front of my partner's pc, chugging out a short playlist of songs that made me euphoric. A few seconds after the first song began (Yoshimi vs the Pink Robots), I get feeback from the forum that people are enjoying the music - wow, instant! Drinking, smoking, turning the music up, it could almost have been a cyber party and I was the popular dj. This all lasted for about 40minutes, during which I danced about my lounge like a complete twat. A bit of bad singing later, and it was almost over.
This of course could only have happened whilst I was alone in my flat, so I was quite sad when the final song faded out. That was it. 40minutes of europhia. I think the most enjoyable part of this was the idea of making other people happy, coupled with the sudden release of tension after hours of worrying that my songlist would not be heard by others.
I was SO suprised at how fun this was. Bizarre, but I'll never forget that night. :)
