Long time no update...

So here you have it... my break has gone about the same as it was before. It goes swimmingly. I'm having a damn good time. I have, however, stressed myself out over a bad decision I made regarding my bass. The Spirit of Autumn is not pleased with me - I adjusted her string action and neck improperly, and now she has bad fret-buzz. I think I stripped an allen-wrench in the process. Carvin guitars is shipping me new screws and allen-wrenches, which should do the trick. I'll have Scott fix it for me before I return to Kent; he actually knows what he's doing. I'll know now not to install steel-strings, either. Nickel-wound is the only way to go. As for Assailant, we were offered a show next friday, which we declined. We are not ready to perform yet... we're still tightening up. We've been doing so since July 2004... It's a shame - there are two things lacking that are preventing our band from becoming big... time and money. These are the two most valuable resources known to man, aside from water... and oil. Tonight at practice, Chris said he has a dream of living "the life of a band." The band life - quitting the job, recording in a professional studio, joining a record label, developing a solid fan-base worldwide, touring the world with the bands that influenced us. This can happen if any member of Assailant wins the lottery. Perhaps if we work together, we'll make the odds of winning greater... such as 10,000,000,000:4 instead of 10,000,000,000:1. Yeah, really promising... :/

As my winter break comes to a close, I look back at it in retrospect. I would certainly say this is the most relaxing break I've ever had from school. However, my time for relaxation is running rather short. Tomorrow my father discusses "financial" stuff with me. This means that he is going to hit me up for money toward college, personal debt, etc... then lecture me about how expensive I can't go without money in the bank, and then replenish my checking account... leaving me exhausted and confused. He does this every time I return from a break.

I have a headache and am soon calling one of my favorites, codenamed Anti-God, then departing for bed.
