I am packed. 100% ready to go back to school. Last night was a revelation to me, however. I realized why it was that I was stuck in a rut over the past few weeks. It was merely because I didn't have a band practice. Playing with Chris Helke, Tony Oliver and Ernest Lee Gehring has always brought me the greatest joy. Last night marked the first and last practice for awhile. We sounded a bit sloppy, but I have a new excitement of what is to come. After tightening up, we have many potential shows in Cleveland, Kent, Akron, Cincinnati and Dayton over the next year. I certainly hope we can find and build our own crowd.
Anyhow... I am looking forward to Kent. There is so much going on upon my arrival... I am somewhat overwhelmed. After the boring, monotonous summer, I look forward to the rush of a hectic life. Of course, I'm going to grow tired of the madness once I'm in the thick of it.
AEII rush is going to be amazing. Our list is HUGE. I'm destined to meet so many new people this year!
Enough of my ramblings. I am off to say goodbye to my closest friends in the morning, and run some errands, then it's off to Kent.
I extend my apologies to any of you who I didn't hang out with much, or at all this summer... it's been rough, with the move, and working 6 days a week... I haven't forgotten anybody. I'm going to try and get back to Cincy as much as I can.
Until I see you all again... be true to yourselves, never stray from your ways.
