I stepped outside in the cold, frigid air. The sun had not yet risen. It was still dark outside. My torch guided me on the dirt track towards the lake. I walked through the forest, the dried leaves rustling beneath my feet. The sound of the rustling leaves and my own breath blended to provide a rhythm for my sleepy feet and my feet seemed to follow that rhythm. After what seemed like ages, I came to a clearing. And my breath caught hold in my chest as I took in the spectacular view of the lake. Its calm and serene water beckoned me. I sat on the bank, closed my eyes, and amidst the surrounding tranquility, felt one with Him.
