83: Grover
There's a monster in the back of this book! Man, I love that dude.
82. Campy movies
Including but not limited to: But I'm a Cheerleader (RuPaul: I used to be a gay), Get Over It (Martin Short: "Bill Shakespeare was a great poet, but Burt Bacarach he ain't) and Camp Nowhere (campy, AND? about a camp. Hah!)
81. Neil Gaiman
I dig the dude's writing, but even more I love that he is like the master pop culture mythogenesist (I made that shit up, is there a more grammatically correct way to say that?) (along with Jeanette Winterson and. . .the dude who wrote Wicked, whose name momentarily escapes me. . .) he's creating a huge market for hte kind of work I'd someday like to do. Also, he loves Loki a lot, which you know, I respect. Also, and I feel this cannot be underestimated, the man is kind of hot.
80. Acrylic nails
I can't afford them, but I'm obsessed with them. They make me not chew on my skin, and they also make me look like I'm pulled together (ha!).
79. The smell of swamp coolers
I think this is very much specific to small areas of the world where they have swamp coolers (they call them evaporative coolers in some places?) but they basically cool through blowing air through a wet pad (I think?), and it makes the air moist which is NICE in Tucson, and they have this faint musty smell that smells to me like summers and childhood and laziness (see also: Tombstone Roses).
