I'm realizing this morning that Dr. King's birthday is the only holiday that I unironically, wholeheartedly celebrate, or that really deeply touches me, without reservation or baggage. Dr. King, and to an even greater extent Coretta, have affected and influenced my beliefs so profoundly that I have been desperately trying to think of something fitting to do, or say, today. I love that this year, people are being encouraged to volunteer, instead of just marching or gathering, so maybe that's the answer. What are y'all doing to honor Dr. King and Coretta's memories?
