this weekend
Wow..where should i start... Awesome weekend. Went to TM's Picnic that took place at Wekiwa springs park. Got to hang out with everyone from work (which are like family anyway) and shoot the shit. Won a 13" color tv..Oh Yeaaah(in a koolaid's voice)haha. Went swimming in the springs and best of all went canoing. OMG....if you haven't gone yet, I would suggest you try it. It was 3 of us in one boat (Chris, me and Joe) and another 3(Hans, Joey and Tony) in the other. It came to my realization that we were actually in a wide life environment... Yeah ummkay...there were actually GATORS in that water AND to make matters worse, our other fellow canoe mates were trying to chase it and stick their foot out at it, WHAT THE F MAN...WHO does that kind of thing? Besides Steve Irwin...who tries to FEED ALLIGATORS with their attached limbs. OK..so on with the story. We were aboot(haha..had to) half way out when the storm clouds started to roll in, and if anyone knows FL they know that storms can be pretty nasty in the summertime. So the rain starts pelting us in huge shrek drops and we start feeling as if we are on the Amazon river in the middle of Africa... funny how you start to feel more adventurous when a change of environment hits you. Well we were paddling back when all of a sudden Hans decides that the branch coming up was going to knock him out of the boat somehow and he must jump to save his crew...haha...not realizing that the canoe would FLIP. Yeah that's right...flip... Mayday! Mayday!...we got floaters in wekiwa springs..I need a 10-9iner out here. The boys were up to their waists in marsh and dirt and luckily there were no gators around cuz then we would have had a situation on hand here. The rain finally stopped and we made it ashore drenched in rain and slight dirt(the other boat of course)and finally headed home. We took lots of pictures and hopefully then came out ok...i will post them when I get them back from the store. Hope everyone's weekend was adventurous as mine!
