POR WHYYY
Today I had to work at 8:30am (and bike there, boo hiss), and I was pretty much on my own the entire morning. I found one of these in the greenhouse, and it was delightful. I put it on top of a pile of boxes, so no customers would step on it.
I checked on dear Fred every once in a while, just for something to do really. And, of course, some couple wasn't looking where they were going, and squished him. Not just squished, splattered. So there was a sizable amount of guts, and a wriggling front half. :(
I felt awful. This guy almost stepped on it again, but I told him to gtfo (by which I mean "excuse me, thank you") and I covered Fredrick with paper towels and stomped him. ;___; I plucked the top off a flower and put it over the towels, and reminisced about our past. You would have been purdy, Fred.
Unrelated: I also bought a Rubix Cube, because I haven't felt rage towards an inanimate object in a while.
