The Remainder of Fall Semester

Jan 23, 2009 23:11

A lot happened - here it is in a photographic nutshell.

People in Japan go to view the leaves in autumn, and we did just that.

An uncommonly nice day on campus.

The first snow!

The international students had a Thanksgiving dinner, and it was so good, even if we had to break tradition with all the compromises made.

... such as KFC instead of turkey!

The school Christmas party had a Christmas cake making contest (as it's Japanese tradition to eat cake for the holiday), and my friend Special made one featuring me and our friends. Cute!

Dance club on the evening of our performance in the city! Afterwards we had an uchiage party, which is what groups (such as co-workers) will do together after a job well done. We went to ramen, karaoke, and had a party at one of our members' homes. This was our last time with some of the members before they left AIU. Soo sad!
