“What?”
“You just…kissed me.”
Sparks flew. Glitter exploded like stars. Dust from rainbows had shot across the tundra like a mirage. Too good to be true.
“…”
“You can’t actually come up with an excuse?”
Your warm breath felt like soft kittens and unicorn fur. The touch of your lips like butterflies in spring.
Vince turned away. “I…we should just…look for the ruby…”
“Don’t.”
Vince turned.
Lashes dusted with sugar-snow. Nose tipped with red. Cheeks aflush like a rose. His eyes blue like…blueberry cream…
“Well I…I did feel a bit warmer…can’t let um…Blackfrost freeze my face and l-li…lips up.”
Vince smiled.
“I knew it. Howard, I knew it…”
Then heaven opened.
