earthquake

We just had a little earthquake a few minutes before 2pm. Mom called to say that she had felt it in NJ, so it must have been a bit bigger than the usual little tremors that we get around here from time to time. Mom called it "big," but then again my frame of reference is different than hers due to four years in California. The piles of junk in my bedroom didn't even shift.

I wonder where the epicenter was.

ETA: According to the USGS, is was a 5.9 from all the way down in Virginia. I guess that counts as fairly big.
