brinksmanship, as always
My yuletide story is officially in the archive. I got it in with less than 10 minutes to spare, but it's in there all the same. Whew! **wipes nervous sweat from brow** I didn't have time to get a beta-reader, and the story definitely would have benefited from a few extra days for me to polish it. However, I like it well enough that I won't be embarrassed to claim it as my own when the author-reveal happens, and on the whole I had fun when I wasn't panicking. Anyway, now that it's done, I can finally start counting down the days until the archive opens without it making me want to cry in fear. :)
Edit: Just checked my f-list and saw that the deadline had actually been extended by an hour and I hadn't known. Oh, the things I could have done with that hour! I could have done a better job of proofreading. I could have found a beta. Must resist urge to pout... **sigh** Ah well, what's done is done.
