Everybody Loves Judy . . .

I would just like to take this opportunity to say that it doesn't seem to matter what geminiwench posts, she always elicits at least three comments.  She posts three lines of text about her day and gets six or eight comments.  Even taking into account her comments to comments to her posts, she still gets more responses than most posters.  Why is that?  I once told her that I thought her very beloved by all who know her.  She refuted my assertion, stating she felt she was merely pleasantly tolerated amongst her acquaintance.  I say, "Bah!" and offer this post as a partial reasoning of my stance on the subject.  And for those who don't know her, she must be particularly intellectually stimulating.  Or something.  It's like magic, I tell you.  Or maybe some kind of strange online posting mo-jo. . . You get some people who post big long speeches bringing everyone up to date on their lives or disseminating on some heavy subject like ancient Egyptian algebra, and they get MAYBE one comment.  Maybe.  But not geminiwench! She posts about anything.  Everything!  Anything she can think of, and people respond to her like moths respond to a huge f*ckoff lamp in the middle of a darkened forest.  You know, apart from the *snap crackle pop fizzzzzzzz* death that often ensues in the case of moths.  I've yet to come across anyone who has died from a conversation with Judy, though I suppose it could happen.  And I'm not complaining, here; I'm merely stating an interesting fact based on my observations of Live Journal.  And so it goes . . .

So, Underworld:Evolution comes out this Friday.  I really enjoyed Underworld.  I was particularly gratified that men in costumes were used for the Lycans as opposed to CG.  I really liked the effect.  From what I've seen from UE previews, much of it will be involved with the history of the feud between Vampires and Lycans, and much more CG will be used to accomplish the telling of it, which I'm a little disappointed in, but I'm looking forward to the film, so I suppose I'll have to endure.  For those of you who have not seen or have no interest in these films, you are, of course, excused from reading this post.  I know that jairen82 was not fond of the first film, and that's fine.  But apparently, as the history goes, when the Lycan strain of the virus first came into existence, Lycans were not able to assume human form or retian their human mind; they were confined to the existence of an extremely vicious wolf.  Hence the enslavement of the Lycans as a means to control them, as referred to by Lucian in the first Underworld film.  Looks pretty good.  I hope, I hope!  *rubs her hands together in anticipation*  www.sonypictures.com/movies/underworldevolution/

Dave's sister, Becky (see my previous posts if you're REALLY curious) moves to Phoenix today; mixed feelings about that.  But I thought as a gesture of good faith to prove that I am trying to find a way to live peaceably with her, Dave and I might take her to see Underworld:Evolution, as I think she liked the first film well enough, and it would be neutral ground that we could all enjoy.  Hopefully.  We all went to see King Kong when she was here for the holidays, and even though I'd heard nothing but bad reviews about it, I really enjoyed it.  I thought it was really well done.  Once more into the breach, Peter Jackson, once more!

Also, Dave and I have been together for 2 years as of this weekend.  Which is great!
