Lemon Herb Peppercorn Tilapia & Lemon Brown Rice Pilaf Bento

Mar 02, 2007 20:47

I'm still getting over this crud I got from hubs and slowly but surely I'm getting better. Whooo hooo was a nice surprise and I got a new bento I purchased from ebay in the mail! It's the yellow flower bento box! I'm sure y'all know which one I'm talking about. =) Last night I made Lemon Herb Peppercorn Tilapia for today's bento. Hubs and I snuck in a taste and I can't wait for lunch! =9

Plate full of Lemon Herb Peppercorn Tilapia

Hubs Bento:

- Lemon Brown Rice Pilaf w/ peas, onions and corn; slice of lemon garnish
- Baby carrots
- 3 fillets of Lemon Herb Peppercorn Tilapia
- can of Vault energy soda
- package of M&M's

A closeup of hubs bento:

My bento:

Same as hubs bento; only in a smaller container! For some reason the baby carrots look weird, like they are pruned and been sun-bathing for too long! lol Whatever the case they are very much still edible!

I made both the Lemon Herb Peppercorn Tilapia and Lemon Brown Rice Pilaf using Mrs. Dash 10 minute marinade! If you haven't tried or ever used Mrs. Dash, I highly recommend trying any one of their products! If your not fond of the furikake flakes like I've read and seen mentioned on some of the post here, Mrs. Dash makes some awesome Seasoning Blend shakers that are salt-free and packed with plenty of flavor! The marinades are wonderful as well! Here's is the link for the Herb Peppercorn Tilapia and Lemon Rice Pilaf. I adjusted the recipe to fit according to what I needed. Last night I cooked more than 4 fillets and I used brown rice instead of quick cooking white rice. Happy cooking!
