One of the things I love best about BBC Radio 4 is
In Our Time, a discussion programme on a variety of topics, covering science, religion, literature, etc.
They've archive all the series on the website since it became possible to do that, and it's such a treasure trove.
For anyone interested in mythology, they've some really fabulous resources. And next week, they're discussing the ancient Indian
Bhagavad Gita:
The Bhagavad Gita, a 700-verse section of the Sanskrit epic the Mahabhrata, is one of the most revered texts of Hinduism. It narrates a conversation between Krishna, an incarnation of the deity, and the Pandava prince Arjuna and has been described as a concise summary of Hindu theology. But it is also a philosophical work of great richness and influence.
Very cool. Ancient religion, yoga, the influence of ancient literature globally, all in historical context - what's not to love?
[EDIT]: Also, you can
download the series.
