So, after reading some Sam Harris and watching a few lectures, I think I've come to a realization that's pretty much parallel to what he outlines... that religious tolerance should be cast aside and the god/no god debate tossed out with it. It should be fact vs. myth, not "anyone could be right because no one knows." I actually do find it very very terrifying that 44% of our Nation's public believes that Jesus is going to come down from the clouds to save his chosen people. I find it terrifying that nearly half of our general public bases their beliefs from the myths out of a book, a book they believe came from some form of divine power channeling through a man as opposed to it being a book of lunacy, lies and moral deceit.
