[She's died. She's terrified of wandering Adstringendum alone and can't work up the nerve to go to her theatre after what happened there. She has yet to figure out what her death price is. Anna is gone from Adstringendum. And Rachel, who spends every waking moment of her time singing whenever things gets too much, isn't allowed to singLuckily, she

[Her voice is getting hoarser and she's kicking the dummy -- thunk thunk thunk -- from her seated position on the floor, with tears in her eyes.]

Your dancing was very good, although I will admit the steps are unlike any I have seen before. I did not know you were a dancer as well as a minstrel.

[It's choked -- and it's the last straw. Dying Rachel can handle. A damaged voice -- well, that will heal. But Anna is gone. And she isn't coming back. And Rachel can't quite deal with that.
-- but then Juliet keeps talking and Rachel's hands slide into her hair. She's trembling, but she manages to keep talking.]
... it's Michael Jackson. I -- screwed up the performance.

I am sorry. You and she were close?
[She smiles.]
He is a famous dancer in your time, Rachel? Is he one who creates the dances, or is he known for dancing other people's creations?
And to stumble whilst practicing is only natural. When I was learning all of the courtly dances, there were many times when I would stumble, or step to the right instead of to the left, and thus collide with another. One must simply begin again when that happens.

Michael Jackson... was dance. The best dancer of our time. He -- he created dances on the fly like they were nothing. He looked like he walked on air whenever he moved.
He has this -- move, called the 'moonwalk', and he looks like he just... gliding across the stage.
[Rachel wipes her eyes, still shaking, but -- focusing on something she knows, dance -- that will help.]
... he'd probably roll over in his grave if he saw how badly I botched that.

He sounds most talented and graceful. There is no one I could think to use such description for in my time.
[Gently.]
How much must he have practiced to make his steps look so effortless, Rachel? Is it not likely he made the very mistake you did at some time during one of his practices? He would not be upset at you for making a mistake. Rather, I would think he would be pleased you thought so highly of his talent that you wished to emulate it.

Watch.
[It's quiet, and Rachel rolls her ankles quickly before turning to her side. She stands on her toes for a split second before walking -- no, gliding -- backwards, her shoes sliding across the wood. It isn't perfectly seamless -- Rachel is far too tired for that -- but it's pretty good all the same. At the end of the moonwalk, Rachel spins -- and this time, she doesn't fall -- and shakes out her legs again.]
-- he would have done it much better.

That was well done, Rachel, thank you for showing me. The step is most graceful. Perhaps he would have done it better, but if he was its originator and a maestro of dance, that would be expected. You did the step very well to my eye.
