A Peach Diary: Punch Bag Balloons

Jan 19, 2007 00:47

My Peach Diary continues. So far, so really good. I have two scenes left to block in Act 1. I'm having a bit of difficulty, cause there are several characters onstage for a long period of time, and when trying to place people, i can't keep track of who is where. So, tomorrow, I'm going to make a small paper model, just so I can better visualize.

For the past two days I have been starting the process of creating the heads for "the cloud men" which is paper mache large balloons. (they're called bunch bag balloons) Works really well. I'm having fun making it. I'm on my third and final one (there might be more on the way...), I think I've decided to cut the underwater scene in Act II because every creative way that I think possible to do it, i feel like its going to turn out REALLY cheesy looking. (I know the show is a little cheesy to begin with, but I want to leave the really REALLY cheesy parts out). To make up for it, I will make the cloud-men sequence a little longer.

The painting has come along real nice. The whole set in general is really nice, much nicer than pictures I've seen of other productions at least... I can't believe the entire set is almost done (and we're still two months away!!!! thats awesome) I have a meeting with the costume people on Saturday, I'm hoping for the best!

I think that just about does it for now.
